Chris Jones 2014-2015

Chris Jones Statement:
Society has a way of throwing away all things that are ‘useless’, learning to reuse the things that are wasted is a way to recycle and keep an eye open to our past. Thrift stores take advantage of this culture while limited people also see the value in the old items. Music indicates what we have evolved from as a society and keep growing. Sampling in music is the same as how appropriation is used in art. Using the Album covers and the records is a way to sample the music that has been thrown away and now to be used in contemporary art.
