Jenna Bronson 2015-2016

Jenna Bronson Statement:
Photographing the culture and environment of underground music in Chicagoland has been a focus of my aesthetic studies for some time. I am drawn to these gritty intimate encounters due to the uniqueness that pervades the experience. The materials here offer an introduction to these bands and their environment. The venues give off an extremely unique contrast to that found in mainstream venues. The typical stereotypes of local bands exist on the surface, yet the experience is so much more than that. I have worked extensively on capturing the environment through my photographs and posters. I then took the design of the practice spaces and venues and used those to create an installation of an authentic practice space of a local band
